Gabby comes home kinda late and ((for those in awake and here)) has a set of aztec looking armor in her arms. She looks like something is bothering her.

[[Well, since it's a Monday night, Alex might be up a an hour or two later than on the other "school" nights. So...]]
Alex is doing a little late night studying in the common room and looks up as Gabriella returns. "Um, what's that you got there?" asks Alex.

"Dad took that bear skin and made this." she unfolds it to reveal Aztec-styled suit of armor, with jaguar skins at the sleeves and the bear's head as a helmet. "It shifts so I can wear it all the time and I think channels Animal boons. Had to work for it though..."

"Hmmm, I think I like the look of the all jaguar armor better. Too bad we didn't run into some Nemean Jaguars too," Alex says half jokingly. "But, um you only think it channels Animal boons? And what do you mean by work for it?"

"Dad was too busy to explain but I asked that he allow it to. I guess I will find out eventually. As for working for it...dad sent me to find some scions who were slacking off and trick them into doing what they were supposed to; thus earning the armor. To be honest I wasn't thrilled with it all. I met my sister and was actually hitting it off with her till I had to trick her."

Alex ponders things for a few moments and says, "Even if it doesn't channel Animal boons now, I don't see any reason why that enhancement couldn't be added in the future. But what's the story with your sister?"

Gabby looks very uncomfortable. "It's complicated. I can't talk about it, or rather I don't want to right now. Suffice it to say I'm not sure if she is someone I should talk to and learn from, but I think after how my mortal family turned out I am desperate for anyone I'm related to that I can talk with. If that makes sense. I think I want her to be more than what she likely is."

That is intellectually I can understand it, but my family experience was a lot different than your own, so, um, I don't know how close I can truly see things from your perspective," Alex replies. Then after a brief pause continues, "But there's an old saying 'You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family' - so, um, deal with your family in whatever way you feel most appropriate. But if you want someone to lend an ear, remember my door is always open."
