The next time Alex bumps into Dave when mortals aren't around, he says, "Dave, got a minute? After seeing you tackle that Nemean Bear, there's a question I've been meaning to ask you."

"Yeah, we did indeed do well against that bear," Alex says.
"But that," Alex says while pointing to the pint glass "is what I have a question about. I know it's magic, but how come it never spills all over you like I would have expected during our fight with the bear?"

"It does" says Dave emptying the pint glass on to the floor "but then it refils, cool hay?"

"Um, I can see you can pour it out on the floor. But I would have expected you to have been pretty much soaked in beer after grappling with the bear. So, um, does it keep on pouring out, or what stops it? Does it stay full, or does it refill? If it refills, when does it refill?" Asks Alex as he scratches his head.

"I don't know" dave replys with a homeresk voice (ooc- simpsons) "I just hit people with it" dave says "Slight change of topic- you mensioned your good with bikes, some of my mates bikes took a bit of dammage in the fight with the bear, do you mind if you take a look over them?, if and when you have time I mean"

Alex sighs slightly after Dave's "I don't know," and a look of vague disappointment settles on his face. Probably reminding Dave a little of a child who was hoping to find some candy but did not.
"Um, it's not that I'm good with bikes, in fact I don't have any real experience with them other than reading about them in magazines. But I am pretty good at working on anything mechanical. I've been doing that sort of thing for as long as I can remember, I guess it's Hephaestus' blood in me. I did great in auto shop though, and used to help my step-dad work on our cars. Also, one of the gift's Hephaestus gave me makes me even better than I was at fixing things."
"So, um, what I was meaning to say is that I don't have formal training on bikes, but I am damn good with every machine I've ever put my hands on. If my lack of specific experience doesn't bother you, I'd love to work on your bikes! And really, I always do well. Even before my Visitation I was normally taking apart things and putting them back together so that they worked better than they had before."

"That sounds great, Dave! Hmm, I wonder what sort of facilities the campus might have for working on cars and bikes and such."
