OK, everyone, I really hate to say this, especially considering that you guys just got up to Legend 4, but I need to take a break from STing...
I've been debating this with myself for a good long while, but several things are contributing to this decision...
First of all, school is starting to get hectic. Paper deadlines are starting to become less distant and I want to make sure I do well.
Second of all, as most of you know, but may need reminding, this is my first time STing (or any form of GMing) and as of now, I've officially spent more time STing Scion than I have playing it. And lately, I've wanted to be a player more than an ST. Selfish, yes, but it also means that when I head onto Chris' wave game on Tuesday, I don't have a ball of stress churning in my gut.
Third, I've got a bunch of ideas, but I need some time to sort them out into a cohesive narrative. And time has been a precious commodity as of late.
Fourth, well, as a combination of the above and several other factors, and the fact that I've been STing pretty consistently each week for the last few months... I'm starting to burn out. And I'd rather not make a half-assed effort to to make a story and give a mediocre experience to all of you. You're awesome players and you don't deserve that.
So, basically until the end of the semester (some time in May), I'm calling off Scion U games.
HOWEVER, this does NOT mean I'm going to be totally absent. I'll still respond to PMs (probably more than I have been, as of late), and I'll still be available on Google Wave, and I'll be willing to do little private sessions in the Scion U setting (For anyone without Google Wave, IRC is still an available option). These are usually much less intensive and more personal, and thus more fun and less stressful to me. I'm willing to give XP for these (Probably less than a typical session, but still, XP for you to use with that sweet, sweet new dot of Legend).
I'm really sorry. I've been stewing over this for a while now... I'm just glad I finished the Owen-DinoZombie arc. I hope you all forgive me for this.
