Gabby goes by Dr. Lord's office first to see if they are there.

You see the jaguar outside the office. She is stretching. As you approach, she turns to you. You feel a primal fear as her eyes bore into you.
"Come with me, Totocihuatzin," her voice soft, yet stern. As she says the last word, you hear a translation in your head, "little female bird."
She leads you from the building to the clearing in the forest. She looks at you with some dismay, "No doubt you have some question that needs to be brought before my human companion, but I have issues I wish to bring up with you, issues that Alan should be voicing but has chosen not to..."
"You are guileless, young one. Even if Alan was not proficient in knowing secrets, I easily deduced your animal soul. You shriek constantly, like a bird in the night, unable to contain yourself. Your quest to bring secrets to light is an admirable goal, but we live in a dangerous world, and you wear your heart on your sleeve..."
"Take the first time we were at the office, alone, when you discovered the secret of Alan's parentage. The first thing you did was confront him about it, revealing your knowledge. That was not a smart move. He has gone to considerable lengths since then to block information about him from the purview of Mystery. Had you brought it up later, and hidden the information's source, it would have been easier."
Ix Chel sighs, "People who keep secrets like them guarded. The more important the secret, the more drastic measures they will take to guard them. You are treading into a world where you will stumble upon the hidden knowledge of some of the most powerful beings ever. If you show your hand too soon, they will do worse than kill you."

Gabby listens closely to Ix Chel considering her words before she speaks them.
"I am beginning to understand these things. There are some things people do not have to know. And I have not told anyone of his parentage because I understand why he would like to keep it hidden...hell if I could get away with others not knowing he was my father I likely would not tell anyone."
"I didn't ask for any of this, the gods, the visions. And I know neither did anyone else. But how do I handle it all? Who else can I go to about my fears but him? I trust him more than anyone ironically enough. And I wasn't coming to him with my latest problem actually, I came to find you."

Ix Chel lets out a huff that sounds almost like a laugh, "Maybe I shouldn't have spoken up at our first real meeting. Alan's not enough, you need to seek me out too? All right, but be warned, I don't do that song and dance you overgrown hairless monkeys do, so don't be surprised if I hurt your feelings or whatever. There's a reason I don't talk much."
"So, why have you sought me?"

"I'm supposed to feed this rune" she holds up her right hand "human heart's blood and am attempting to do so without needing to kill people. Is there any insight you can offer me in this?"

"Truth be told, it would be much easier for you, and everyone involved, if you were to kill someone, preferably someone who deserved it, or someone who wouldn't be missed. Alan's seen these marks before, and as time goes on, it becomes impossible to not kill someone. Accidents in drawing blood from the arteries become increasingly common with one of those marks..."
"If you insist on doing this without killing, the first thing you will want to do is to ask Alan about learning something about the human body. He has access to cadavers for that exact purpose. You may have to share the space with the lion boy with the unpleasant odor, but you will need a basic understanding of where you wish to poke and prod your victims. There's less of a chance of disaster if you bleed them from the arm, if I remember correctly..." Ix Chel looks pensive, an odd look for a jaguar.
"In any case, I wouldn't point out the mark and ask him. He'll either leave you to flounder or do it himself, and you'd probably prefer the former to the latter. You're dangerously tied into his Legend by declaring yourself his family. Rely on him too much and you risk becoming his... well, "damsel in distress" for lack of a better term. Fate will send his enemies to you. He knows this from experience. Your best bet is to find a subtle way to get information from him..."

"I have had many disturbing visions lately...almost all dealing with Dr. Lord and I have mentioned none of them to him. I've kept them inside and let them eat away at me so don't talk to me about things that need to be left unsaid or that I am already tied into his legend." (Gabby has been very quiet over the last week, and very withdrawn.)
"I only have a few more things to ask of you then I will leave you alone. How will I know it has worked? Do you know WHAT will happen if I fail in this?"

"Prophecies are a difficult issue for all Scions. It is a reason why Alan has eschewed the Purview... Letting it worry you is the worst thing you can do. The information is like a knife. Keep it close, but keep it sheathed, lest it cut you."
Ix Chel sniffs your hand, "I have never encountered this specific variant of rune, so I cannot say for sure what its effect will be should you fail to feed it. I can guarantee, though, that it will not be pleasant."

"Fine. Thank you for hearing me out. Next time you see Catherine I'd appreciate it if you told her I'd like to talk with her." and she starts to walk off.
