Gabby will find Sean in the common room, draped in one of the armchairs, sans shirt, wearing some soccer shorts. He seems to be perusing Entertainment Weekly, making disappointed sounds at the people who should be hot. You hear him mumble under his breathe, "Man, she has DEFINITELY let herself go."
Sean looks up as you enter.
"Hey Gabby. What's up?"
If you look at the magazine, that page has a picture of Eva Longoria on it.

Gabby snickers at Sean.
"Hey can we talk a minute? I think, no I know, I'm gonna need your help." she says rubbing her right hand.

Gabby look at the two of them and sighs. She looks very uncomfortable.
"Last week when I retrieved Kiti (she has been calling her nagual this) my father added this to my...abilities." she says holding up her right hand. "It's the Aztec rune for water...and well...it comes with a catch." she sighs
"Every 13 days I have to feed it human blood that isn't my own." she says in a bit of a rush.

Gabby sighs. "Well I have 6 days to figure this out or bad stuff happens. And given my father's perpencity for bad stuff I need to not find out. I am open to any suggestions."

At this point, Alex wanders into the room.
"I'm not sure what's going on, but, um, I just heard talk of six days till bad stuff happens as I came out of my room," Alex says with a puzzled look on his face. "So what's this trouble about? And, um, I am guessing you're talking about your real father, Gabby?"

"Yeah. When I went to retrieve Kiti Tezcatlipoca etched a new rune onto my hand." she shows him the new scar. "It channels water...but has a catch. I have to feed in human blood, and it cannot be mine, every thirteen days or bad things happen. I don't know what but I don't want to find out, and it's due in six days. I have no idea what to do."
She sits down on the couch looking miserable.

"Hmmm, that brings up lots of questions - besides whatever the bad stuff is that we obviously don't want to have happening."
"For instance, how much blood is necessary? If fed twice that amount at a single setting, would that mean you could wait 26 days before feeding it again? Um, what happens if you fed it half way through, like today for instance? I mean does it do nothing, reset the 'clock' for 13 more days, or give you a total of 19 days from now?"
"Oh, and, um, by feeding it, do you mean the rune or Kiti?"
After a brief pause, Alex continues, "Whatever you decide on how to handle it, I think knowing the answer to those first questions may be relevant. But, um, unless the blood needed is enough to kill a person, I'd guess you could do something like a blood bank."

"Given my pantheons love of the number 13 I doubt I can double up." she sighs "My father didn't go into specifics. I can try praying to him and asking but somehow I think this will be one of those times he doesn't answer me."

"Well, um, I'd kinda doubt the doubling up or an additive effect would happen. But I, um, really don't know enough about magic stuff to know that logic from the mundane world is likely to apply or not."
"However, the resetting of the 'clock,' so to speak is a commonly occurring situation in the real world."
"Erm, but really, what's probably most important to know for now is how much blood you need per feeding? As I think about it, it, um, seems that that the less you need the more and simpler methods there are for handling this."

I either have to kill someone or take it from an artery...which has a high chance of killing even one of us. And it has to be done once every trecena; the Aztec 13 day period of the sacred calender."

Alex pales a bit before saying, "Um, I hate to worry you even more, but, um, from what you just said you might have even less time than you thought."
"I mean the end of the tracena in which you got the rune could have already happened. Statistically, there'd only be a one in 13 chance that you got the rune at the beginning of a tracena. Um, though Fate and Scions might make that different."
"Though if you're lucky, the 13 days of the tracena is like using the word week to refer to a seven day period as opposed to a calendar week."
"But, um, as for getting the blood, what you just said pretty much rules out the simple ways I had been considering."
"Hmm...so that leaves...hmmm," Alex mutters as he stares through Gabby into infinity.
After a moment, Alex's eyes again focus on Gabriella and he continues, "Um, if we did a test feeding, would you know if it was successful?"
