Liam raises an eyebrow and cocks his head curiously. "Sure, whatcha got? I'll preemptively say yes to anything but one, as long you have a good reason". His face turns mildly mischievous, "Need me for something exciting?"

"That depends on what you consider exciting I guess. Here's the short version. When I went to get my nagual, my father carved a new rune on my right hand that channels water. There is a huge bloody string attached though. I have to cover it in heart's blood, blood from the heart or an artery, once every 13 day cycle or unknown but definitely bad things will happen." she sighs and you can tell she has been wrestling with this all week (she was quiet all week.)
"The blood must be human and not my own. I was thinking about using a needle to draw it from an artery, but frankly I don't know anything about the human body or how to do this safely. I was hoping you could help with this part while I ask the others to help with the donate part."

Liam's face crinkles up and shakes his head. "Really? Heart blood? You guys have serious issues.." He sighs and gets a thoughtful look. "Well here's the thing. The heart can be a very delicate organ, however it is slightly more resilient than most people might think. For example it would be conceivably safer to draw blood form the heart itself with say a needle than an artery. The heart is just one big muscle and small puncture directly into the heart will close upon the next contraction. So theoretically inserting a needle into the heart might be your best answer. The trick comes in twofold; first is that if you wish to do it on the fly or non surgically, you will need a rather large needle to puncture, and accuracy is the key. Specifically the tricky part is also depth, you would need to pierce the heart deep enough to draw blood but not too deep or shallow".
Liam smiles with an odd glint in his eye. "But I'm assuming you want to do this without hurting someone or sacrificing them like some of your brethren? Because I have an idea that makes all my previous statements moot".

"Well ok then" Liam winks and reaches behind him, pulls Anthru out and twirls it in the air. Then with only the slightest hesitation he plunges the knife hilt deep into his chest.

Liam grunts and gasps,"Ok...underestimated how painful that would be.." he pulls the knife out and staggers backwards for a moment before placing his hand over his wound and closing his eyes. (and yes Griff, requisite legend spent : ) Then he breathes deep and smiles weakly before opening his eyes again. His hand moves away from his chest; blood and a hole in his shirt the only evidence remaining. "Been a long time since I've been stabbed like that. And the first time doing it to myself...not an exactly a pleasant sensation." Liam smiles again and holds out Anthru, still glistening with his blood.

Gabby gets down and walks over to Liam staring at his chest. "Did you just..." she stops, takes the knife and smears the blood on her scarred hand, covering every inch of the rune.

Liam looks down at his shirt and frowns. "Ok, note to self: do not wear favorite shirt when stabbing oneself". He sighes and shrugs,"Oh well...so I'm assuming that works for you?"

Just don't go spreading it around, I don't want people to get the idea I'm a masochist or anything." He stares at his ruined shirt for a moment then glances up, "Wait what? hunger?"

"I didn't realize it till just now...but there is this looming feeling of need. I'll know when I am running out of time it seems. Thank you. Seems you are my knight in not-so-shining armor." she chuckles.
"Nah I won't tell anyone. All that matters is it works right? And I promise to remind you to take your shirt off too." she grins placing her hand lightly on his chest for a moment before heading into the kitchen area and grabbing a soda from the fridge.
"Damn last of the cream soda."

[[And adding on top of what Dan mentioned, note that it might be two or three Legend points that Liam will spend before the next session, not just one. Gabby has to go through this once every 13 day period. Depending on the exact date that Gabby got the rune and when our next session occurs, quite a bit of time should have passed as Griff said that the next session was occurring about a month after the last one we had. So that would mean Gabby should be either deep into her second tracena or possibly even starting her third one.]]
